Olivia Chua

Olivia brings extensive global commercial experience to Novavax along with a deep understanding of the healthcare systems in the region.

Olivia comes to Novavax with over 20 years of multinational vaccine and pharmaceutical business expertise in a variety of leadership roles at companies such as Takeda Pharmaceuticals & Vaccines, GlaxoSmithKline Vaccines, Novartis Vaccines and Eli Lilly and Company. In her 20+ years of living and working in Australia, the US, Singapore and Thailand, Olivia developed her strong networking and leadership acumen, profound knowledge of sales, commercial and alliance management of the healthcare industry at the local, regional, and international levels. She is a highly motivated team leader adept at engaging internal and external stakeholders.

Most recently, Olivia served as the Vaccines Franchise Head of the Growth and Emerging Markets (GEM) Region at Takeda, where she built up the GEM Vaccines Business Unit to launch and commercialise a new Dengue vaccine. She provides Novavax with proven capabilities in developing strong, cross-functional programmes.

Based in Singapore, Olivia will leverage her passion for public health and markets’ knowledge and relationships to lead the commercial buildout of and grow the APAC business with our fellow SuperNovas.
